Tongue Tied Infants
Supporting feeding, bonding, and nervous system regulation--before, during, or after release.
Feeding is one of the earliest and most foundational ways an infant connects to the world—and to you. When a baby is born with a tongue tie, this natural process can become confusing, painful, or exhausting for both of you.
In my work, I support tongue-tied infants and their families before, during, and after release—or when a release isn’t the right path. I bring together nervous system regulation, early reflex integration, and gentle body-based support to help infants find comfort, ease, and coordination in suck-swallow-breathe patterns.
This approach helps:
-
Reduce tension and compensatory patterns in the body
-
Improve latch, milk transfer, and oral motor coordination
-
Support healthy digestive rhythms and reduce reflux or colic
-
Prepare the infant’s nervous system for a possible release
-
Gently unwind the effects of long-standing restrictions
I also support parents in learning to read their baby’s cues, rebuilding a sense of safety around feeding, and feeling empowered in their own intuition.
