Early Regulation & Prevention of Developmental Delay
Prevention isn’t about worry—it’s about honoring what your child’s body is already asking for.
Even before a diagnosis or delay, many young children show early signs of stress, tension, or dysregulation. These aren’t problems to fix—they’re invitations to support the nervous system in a way that allows growth to unfold with more ease and less effort.
I work with infants and toddlers who may not have a formal diagnosis but who show signs of:
-
Difficulty calming, settling, or connecting
-
Startling easily or being highly sensitive to touch, sound, or movement
-
Delays in motor, speech, or social engagement
-
Big feelings, frequent meltdowns, or sensory overwhelm
-
Having “always been tense” or “just not quite comfortable” since birth
By supporting regulation early, we may prevent deeper delays or the need for more intensive intervention later.
Through gentle, whole-body work, we help the child’s system:
-
Integrate foundational reflexes
-
Develop postural tone and coordination
-
Build safety in relationship
-
Discover their capacity to feel, move, and relate with more confidence and less stress
This is the quiet work of prevention. It doesn’t chase milestones—it nurtures the soil where development grows.
